Many times, we think of personal growth as a selfish act especially in cultures like mine (Latno/a) where family always comes first. However, I believe that it’s ok to set healthy boundaries and do things for your own personal development. When you learn to fill your cup first, you naturally have so much more to give to others around you. Giving will no longer feel like you’re sacrificing all of your energy and time because you now understand that refueling yourself means that you’ll have more to share in the long run. I look forward to sharing the many ways that prioritizing my personal growth has had a positive impact on my loved ones and community in general.
